During City Council Meetings, the City Council will receive comments from citizens of Edmond (resident or non-resident) who wish to provide information and share their views regarding City related matters that are not on the council agenda or scheduled for a public hearing. Please note that as stated in the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act (25 O.S. Sections 301-314) all matters to be considered (i.e. discussed) during a city council meeting have to be “preceded by advance public notice” (defined by 25 O.S. Sections 303 and 311 as 24 hours before the meeting, excluding weekends and state holidays). Therefore, Councilmembers cannot respond to citizens during citizens comments because those comments are not specifically listed on the agenda in compliance with the advance notice requirements of the Open Meeting Act.

   Please register to speak during Citizen Comments by filling out this form no later than 3:00 PM on the day of the council meeting you wish to speak on. 

   If you have any handouts you would like to provide to council members, please email them to jane.robertson@edmondok.gov or turn them into the Citizen Comments podium in the lobby of the City Council Chambers before the start of the meeting.
