1. Can I burn grass or leaves?

No, grass and leaves smolder and create large amounts of smoke and because of the dense makeup can be hard to extinguish once ignited.

2. I have old fence panels that have been replaced can I burn them in my burn pile?

No, the fence panel and other wood products used in construction can contain pigmented stains, pressure treated compounds of chromate copper arsenate, pentachlorophenol and creosote, these products create an environmental issue.

3. Can I use any kind of liquid to aid me in getting the fire started?

Flammable liquids should never be used to start the fire. For our environment and your safety we ask that you use kindling to start the fire. If the wood has been dried this should be sufficient in getting the burning process started.

4. Can I have a bon fire for my church or school activities?

Yes, we will require a bon fire permit for the event. Bon fire permits can be obtained by calling 405-216-7303, Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bon fire permits will require a site visit.

5. Can I have an inspection on the burn pile to assure it is safe?

Yes, we will come to your location before you burn and give you advice. Please note that the burning process is your responsibility and liability.
