Adopt-a-Street programs are administered by Edmond Public Works and Edmond Beautiful for an ongoing, year-around litter pickup from the section line roads and thoroughfares. Edmond Field Services provides bags and disposal of the litter for this volunteer program.
Volunteers
Volunteers from various civic groups, schools groups, business clubs, sororities, fraternities, and church groups devote their time and effort as "litter patrols" along the roadsides to help keep Edmond clean. Volunteers make a two-year commitment to adopt one mile of roadway for which they collect litter three times each year. One of the yearly collections should be during the statewide collection week, which is usually slated in late March or early April.
