Specific Use Permit Process

A specific use permit may be granted by the City Council only for certain uses so designated in the zoning district as outlined in Chapter 4 of Title 22. The purpose of this special review provision is to closely scrutinize those uses which, because of the size of the land they require or the specialized nature of the use, may more intensely dominate the area in which they are located and their effects on the general public are broader in scope than other uses permitted by right or with limitations in the district. All specific use permits require complete site plan submission and all required fees. Please refer to Section 22.3.3 for more detail on specific use permit requirements.

The fee for a specific use permit is $150.
