Edmond Parks and Recreation has several sports and recreation partners in the community that promote sports activities in our city. You can find information about these partners at the links listed below.
Victus Advisors (or “Victus”) was engaged in February 2023 by the City of Edmond to conduct a sports facilities assessment to help determine the maximum recreation and/or sports tourism potential of current sports facilities in Edmond as well as identify potential sports facility opportunities for the community. Victus submitted the final report of their assessment in August 2023, and it is available to view below.
Central Oklahoma Youth LacrosseCentral Oklahoma Youth Lacrosse is an organization in the Oklahoma City and surrounding areas for boys and girls in grades K-12. Their mission is to grow the game of lacrosse in the Central Oklahoma area by providing a recreational lacrosse program for youth.
Edmond Adult Softball AssociationEdmond Adult Softball promotes slow-pitch softball as a form of recreation in the City of Edmond. The association is governed by a volunteer board. There are leagues for Men's Church, Coed Church, Men's Open, and Coed Open divisions. The summer league consists of 18 games and the fall league consists of a 14-game schedule. Games are played Monday through Friday nights.
Edmond Center CourtEdmond Center Court, the 2022 USTA National Facility of the Year, is considered one of the top public facilities in the World. Identified as a USTA Premier Facility, it is conveniently located off 15th and Kelly, Center Court has 24 outdoor courts including two stadium courts with seating, 6 indoor courts, as well as a state-of-the-art 31,000 square foot clubhouse. Edmond Center Court has become the pride of the local tennis community through the facility construction by the City of Edmond, Edmond Public Schools, and the ongoing support of the Edmond tennis community.
Edmond Center Court clubhouse is a fully equipped pro shop featuring tennis racquets, accessories, and multiple lounge areas with flat-screen televisions. The tennis shop also offers stringing services to its customers and the general public servicing tennis racquets.
Center Court offers programs for both juniors and adults. Private lessons, junior classes, and camps are offered as a part of our junior development. Adult programs include USTA and recreational leagues, private lessons, clinics, and drill groups.
Edmond Soccer ClubEdmond Soccer Club is a nonprofit organization that was formed in 1978 to promote soccer to young people in the Edmond / Oklahoma City metropolitan area. ESC is organized and operated by parent volunteers. Activities of the volunteers include: conducting fall and spring seasons of play each year, maintaining and upgrading the soccer complex, hosting summer camps, and sponsoring tournaments.
Friday Night LightsFriday Night Lights Youth Flag Football is a non-profit organization that was started in California in 2006 and brought to Oklahoma in 2016. Friday Night Lights is for boys and girls of all different skill levels who are in grades K-6. The format is a 6v6 passing league with very little contact. There will be no more than 9 players per team. Players play a minimum of 3 out of 4 quarters.
Pelican Bay Aquatic CenterCome to Pelican Bay Aquatic Center and enter tropical paradise! Colorful cabanas surround a water playground. The group comprised of SFM Aquatics, LLC is responsible for the operation of Pelican Bay. Red Dirt AthleticsRed Dirt Athletics is an organization with the goal of building Adult Slow-pitch Softball Leagues and Tournaments in the Edmond area as well as the state of Oklahoma. They host multiple leagues during the week and at least one tournament a month. Leagues and tournaments are held year-round.
Edmond Parks and Recreation is looking for teens (ages 13-18) and adults who are interested in helping people of all ages in our community experience the positive benefits of recreation.
