Permit Submissions

Step 1 – Permit Submissions

Building permits involve the submission of plans and other required documents. 

Permit requests must be submitted through our Online Portal. Do not send pre-payment with submissions.


Step 2 – Review Process

Plan review will determine if your project complies with construction codes, zoning, and city ordinances. You will receive notification if there are any issues or missing documents with your request.


Step 3 – Permit Approval

You will receive notification that your permit has been approved. Upon receipt of payment, your permit will be issued granting you permission to legally start construction! You must proceed as approved in the review process.

For commercial projects, you are required to post the permit in a window or other prominent place at the construction site and keep a copy of the approved building plans at the site.

Bring any proposed changes to the attention of the building official immediately. Changes may require another review and approval in the same manner as the original submission.
