The Edmond Plan is the city's comprehensive plan and is an important document that identifies and analyzes the relationships between economy, transportation, community services, the environment, and land use. The plan sets the stage for development regulations and design standards and includes a priority list of items to implement the plan, including code and standards updates, transportation planning, topic-specific plans, and shorter-term plans for small areas such as corridors or districts.
The Edmond Plan
The Edmond Plan, 2018 is the City's comprehensive plan, a policy document for how the city should grow and develop over the long-term. The Edmond Plan achieves this by:
- Documenting a desired future vision for the community
- Examining current issues and trends that will likely influence the community
- Providing goals, actions and recommendations, and implementation tools to see that the vision is achieved
Amending The Edmond Plan
If an applicant has a rezoning request that does not conform to The Edmond Plan, they will first need to apply to have it amended.
Ordinance 3740 includes the plan amendment application process and requirements.
