In addition to professionals approved by the Urban Forestry Commission as “alternatively qualified”, some specific types of professionals are already qualified through the Code changes to submit plans/evaluations for zoning and site plan projects, without needing to go through this process. For landscape plans, these professionals include licensed Landscape Architects. For tree resource evaluations and preservation plan preparation, already qualified professionals include licensed Landscape Architects, professional Foresters (registered with the State of Oklahoma), and International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists.
