Arbor Day Art Contest Entries Open

Entries are now open for the 2017 Arbor Day Art Contest! In this contest, Edmond fifth graders create 2-dimensional artwork surrounding the theme “Trees in Our Town”. The Edmond Urban Forestry Commission will select four students from each participating school to take part in the City-wide Arbor Day Art Show, held each year at the Edmond Historical Society and Museum. This exhibit is part of the museum’s gallery from mid-March through April, and the four students participating from each school will win prizes and awards. Three of the participating students will also be awarded 1st through 3rd Place “Best of Show”, receiving additional prizes and recognition.

Fifth graders at Edmond private schools and home schools are eligible to participate, in addition to Edmond Public Schools. We would love to see more private schools and home school students involved this year! Learn more about this program on the Arbor Day Art Contest page, and contact Edmond Urban Forestry with questions at 359-4759. Entries are due by February 7, 2017 at noon.
